Central Bell County Fire / Rescue has the following volunteer positions open to all interested individuals:
- Junior Firefighter (age 15-18, still in High School)
- Board Members
While fire certification is definitely a plus, it is not required and we will train you! We have mandatory training’s every Tuesday and run our department like career departments.
If you are interested in volunteering but aren’t ready to fight fires, we would love to have you on our auxiliary team. Auxiliary members provide rehab to our firefighters during long on scene calls as well as help with all fundraising events. Or, run for a seat on our Board of Directors.

Qualifications Required For Consideration
- Must be 18 years of age or older for firefighter, EMT, and auxiliary positions. Or, 15-18 years of age to apply for the Junior Firefighter program. Board members must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (drivers license not required for Junior Program)
- Pass a background check
- Pass a drug screening
- Junior Firefighters Only: Passing in all classes (please bring a copy of your latest report card or progress report)
